Non-Gordon students looking to apply to Orvieto or the Balkans Semester: Create an account using the "Register Now" button. Once you have an account, you can login to apply for the Balkans or Orvieto program. For visiting students the deadline for the Balkans and Orvieto semesters are March 15th for Fall, and September 30th for Spring semesters.

Gordon students: All Gordon students have a profile in the system. Please use the "Blue Button" to login with your Gordon email and password.

 

Steps to Going Abroad for Gordon College Students

Step 1: Review approved programs and meet with advisor
Determine how study abroad fits into your four-year plan and which course requirements you might need to fulfill while abroad by meeting with your advisor.

Step 2: Select a Program
Research programs and confirm that you meet the program requirements.

Step 3: Submit a Seat Application - two step process
Complete the application online on Horizons for approval from the Global Ed Office to move forward with your study abroad plans through Gordon. After your receive GEO approval, you will receive instructions on applying to your program directly. 

Please note: You may not apply directly to a program until you have been approved by the GEO to study abroad.

 

Deadlines - Gordon Students

All fall applications for Gordon students are due February 15th (as well as spring petition programs).

Spring semester seat applications are due April 15th. Orvieto & Balkans supporting documents are due when the program application is due. 

Deadlines - Gordon in Orvieto and Balkans Semester

Gordon in Orvieto: March 15 for fall applications and September 30 for spring applications.

The Balkans Semester: March 15 for fall applications and October 15 for spring applications.

 

Qualifications & Preparing to travel

To be eligible to study abroad you must:

    • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75.
    • Have Sophomore standing or above.
    • Possess a strong commitment to academics and Christianity. 
    • Plan to go your second semester sophomore year, junior or senior year.

 

Financial Aid
Review financial aid info on our global tuition website: http://www.gordon.edu/global/tuition. 

Note: Gordon students receive their regular financial aid award for a semester in Orvieto or the Balkans.
